📘 The 6th edition of the EDQM Tissues & Cells Guide is out, and human milk is part of it

The European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM) published the 6th edition of its Guide to the Quality and Safety of Tissues and Cells for Human Application, including dedicated guidance on human milk.

The Guide is written for everyone involved in SoHO activities, from donor selection and testing through processing, storage and distribution to the inspectors and health authorities who oversee them. That makes it essential reading for milk banks across Europe.

Note: there will be no print edition. From December 2026 the Guide will be hosted on the new EDQM SoHO Guides platform, and a French version will follow in 2027.
